The results are in, and boy, did I get it wrong. Id offered up several options for a new park motto and even picked a temporary “winner” to use. Then we invited suggestions and put together a list of 12 possible mottos up for a vote in our last edition of the The Resorter.
The winner, and our new motto, is…
“The Small Park with a Big Heart”

(What about my personal choice, the one weve been using as a stand-in till the voting was finished? That was “The Happiest Retirement on Earth.” It came in a dead last.
Dead last. This reminds me of my years owning a market research firm, testing new products and new ads, when I learned a great life lesson, as expressed by Fats Waller: “One never knows, do one?”)
